Friday, March 24, 2017 What we are learning and doing this week: This week in 2nd grade, we started a new social studies unit about economics. We've learned about communities, goods/services, and production. We pretended to work in a donut shop and created our own new idea for a donut. We read Rosie Revere Engineer. We learned about irregular verbs and rhyming. We learned about Rosie the Riveter, a fictional character. We talked about how the characters impacted the story. In math, we read 100 Hungry Ants. We used granola bars and ants to learn about fractions. We solved division problems with a partner. We took the COGAT test this week. We did an obstacle course and tag game in gym. We are making abstract portraits in art. We learned about Paul Klee. We finished up our habitat unit and worked on our group project on the Chromebooks.
